Snow Fence:
ππ―π°πΈ ππ¦π―π€π¦ is about looking for a way home in a storm but itβs also about marking time, crossing off the days. This was a very dark period. The literal image of the lines marking off the days came from when I was put in jail after protesting against the Vietnam War in Washington. Being in the slammer and doing all that stuff in Washington. The nails are asking a question: Are you marking off days, or are you going to use the nails to build something? Sometimes itβs hard to tell whether youβre wasting time or using it well.β - James Rosenquist, ππ’πͺπ―π΅πͺπ―π¨ ππ¦ππ°πΈ π‘π¦π³π°.Β
